Let me introduce my self in this blog that I made last day.

My full name is Mohamad Syazimmi Hersyaputra and most people call me Zimmi. I was born in Pontianak, West Kalimantan on 23^rd of January 2000 and my zodiac is Aquarius. I was born in the town that has many cultures and ethnics, named “CIDAYU” or abbreviated as Chinese, Dayaknese, and Malay has been being mascode in my hometown. About my ethnic, my father is mixed descent from Malay and Chinese, while my mother is descent from Malay.

About my warm family, my father’s name is H. Syafrani, ST. M.Pd., he is now working as a teacher in a Vocational High School Number 4 in Pontianak and my mother’s name is Hj. Hirdiani, A.Md., she is now working as bank employees. I have one sister, her name is Nur Assarah Anisaputri, S.Tr. Kep., now she is continuing her study in a Nursing Master’s Degree program in Politeknik Kesehatan Negeri Semarang, Central Java because of her dream to be a lecturer.

About my study, I had studied in MIN Teladan Elementary School Pontianak, Junior High School Number 16 Pontianak, and Senior High School Number 1 Pontianak, and I have studied as university student for one month in Faculty of Engineering, Tanjungpura University Pontianak with an Informatics Engineering course and the question arises, “Why you choose Tanjungpura University?”, “Why don’t you choose University of Indonesia?”, “Why don’t you choose Brawijaya Unversity?”, or “Why don’t you choose Bandung Institute of Technology?” and “Why you choose Informatics Engineering?”. These are the questions I often hear before. Honestly, I don’t like something about computer or technology, and actually I am among the wrong people choosing a course of study. When I was child, I expected to be a Pilot, but it flew away from my reach. “Why?” I have a prolem in hearing, I lost one of my hearing bones, then I feel desperate and after that I confused, “What should I do next?” I was really desperate, life goes on, gets so heavy, but I must not give up and try to find a new dream for my happiness in the future, then I decided to be a Taxer, and I tried my luck to get into PKN-STAN (Politeknik Keuangan Negara-STAN). On First Examination, I was succeed and continued to the next step for Medical Examination, unfortunately in this step I failed. I feel desperate again and again.

Finally, my parents gave me an advice to try in Informatics Engineering, because in this globalization era, many companies need professionals IT, and certainly it would be easy to get a job in every sectors. And I decided to choose Informatics Engineering in my first choices on SBMPTN (Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri) 2017.

But, after SBMPTN 2017 had finished, I realized that I chose the wrong course as my parents suggested to me. After that, I tried again UM (Ujian Mandiri) to get in Denistry in Diponegoro University, Semarang, Central Java. However, I failed again and again. I burned down for every failed.

Untill now, finally I realized that the best choice from Allah SWT is in Informatics Engineering and I will try to love the Science of Informatics to make my parents happy and of course to make my parents proud to me later.

The last questions “Why you choose Tanjungpura University?”, because, I do believe Tanjungpura University is also not less good with other Universities in Indonesia or maybe with other Universities in the world.
